Will Nelson has an eye for the details that make a business worth noticing. As Manticore’s Photographer, he creates media that helps Eastern Idaho’s small businesses stand out, show off what makes them different, and grow. His teammates know him for crushing tasks with a lighthearted attitude, even when the deadlines are tight. He’s always learning, always moving, and always looking for a better angle. From the first shot to the final edit, Will sweats the small stuff so clients don’t have to. Good businesses deserve to be seen. Will makes damn sure they are.

I’ve never seen much point in comparing yourself to everyone else. I’d rather see people working together and building each other up. That’s a big part of why I love photography. The little guy is what gives Eastern Idaho its character, and I get to help those businesses show the world what they’re about. Seeing my work help someone else grow beats worrying about what anyone else is doing.

I’m Will

Not Big on Sitting Still

If I’m not working, I’m probably moving. Running, biking, skiing, traveling, catching a concert, or finding something new to try. I love getting out and seeing what the world has to offer, usually with a camera somewhere nearby. Sitting still? Not really my thing.

I ♡ Track, Rocks, & Frisbees

Track and field is a full-blown obsession. I ran it, and I’ve traveled all over the world just to watch meets. I know, pretty niche. But I love it. Throw in rock climbing and ultimate frisbee, and apparently my idea of fun involves a lot of running around.

Through the Lens

Photography started with track and field. Between running myself and traveling the world to watch meets, I found myself wanting to capture what I was seeing. That interest in photography eventually opened the door to the professional world. Now I get to use those skills to help businesses tell their stories, and I'm still learning, experimenting, and pushing myself to get better.

I don’t believe in showing up, pointing a camera, and hoping for the best. Every shot has a job. I figure out what needs to be captured, how you’ll actually use it, and the best way to make it happen. Then I get to work. Deadlines matter, and so does getting the little things right. I’m always learning and looking for ways to improve. I care about what I create, and I’ll work with you until we’ve captured exactly what you envisioned.
